Unique & Ultra-Rare Antique Odell 1 Typewriter - Benedict & Wallace, Syracuse NY

Description

Being offered here is an early Odell No. 1, upper case only model, with wood base and tin lid.
The typewriter is in very nice original condition without any restoration.  There is minimal wear to the gold paint.
The base and lid may not be original, I can't say for sure but the typewriter fits inside and looks great on the wood base.
This is a unique Odell 1 typewriter, with a special tag, something most of us have never see before.  The name Benedict & Wallace, Syracuse, indicating they were sole agents for the USA, is inscribed on its nameplate.  Aside from the typewriter, the nameplate itself is quite impressive.
