Antique 1925-27 Remington Portable 2 Standard Manual Typewriter w/Original Case.
Yes it works!! WOW, very clean, great shape. Please inspect photos to review and appreciate the condition.
This is a VERY OLD manual (NON electric) typewriter.
Authentic Remington Portable 2, Standard Typewriter.
"To Save Time Is To Lengthen Life" is the red authenticity sticker on the left side.
"Remington Portable" on the right side.
It needs new ribbon, and probably with a good service you can own this typewriter for another 100 years.
All keys are functioning and working as designed.
For some reason the serial has been erased, which actually it adds value as we don't know the activities and the motivation of this action.
Many of these typewriters were used also by the mafia back in the day.
Measures 11"d x 9.5"w x 3"h.
Includes original lockable case (no key).
The same type of typewriter was used in two great movies of our times:
