    Description

    Antique 18th 19th century Buddist Thai illuminated painting from a folding manuscript or Samut Khoi.
    Painted by monks with mineral pigments including a vibrant gold in this painting.  Scene has wonderful detail of musicians. Has wear to bottom right figure, corner clouds and slightly worn manuscript crease at center.  Painting measures aprox. 7” x 10” and very nice condition and framed 12” x 15 1/2”, Original 50’s 60’s framing has nice linen matte, gold frame has some damage to left side and wear.  This could be from the Phra Malai manuscript but not sure.
